Straight razor shaving is an art form with a long tradition. Yes, anyone can learn how to shave with a straight razor. Shaving someone else is completely different though. It takes decades to perfect the art of straight razor barbering. That explains why there are almost no Master Barbers left who know their way with a true straight razor blade. Most barbers do not have the staying power to perfect the craft. This leaves a selected few to hold the tradition up, and to train the next generation of Master Barbers.
